MARC has an SLPA position open. The ideal candidate will: 

  • Provide one-to-one intervention for children/clients in accordance with their individualized speech therapy programs at the office, and in home and/or community settings. Activities involve implementing a variety of teaching strategies and activities to help the child/client make progress toward individualized goals. SLPAs report to their program supervisor(s), lead speech therapist and the child/client’s parents/guardians.

  • Perform duties as directed involving, preparation of materials, data collection and record keeping for all services delivered

  • Participate in initial and ongoing training and/or shadowing from supervisors, parents,and other therapy team members as appropriate, including demonstration of current programs

  • Communicate regularly and openly with supervisors, therapy team members, and parents/guardians of child/client

  • Provide input to supervisory staff in the development of programs as appropriate, such as identifying strengths/needs and participating in team meetings

  • Accurate and timely submittal of paperwork, including data reports, timesheets, etc.

  • Arrive on-time and working for entire duration of scheduled appointments

  • Maintain schedule availability and communicating in advance of any upcoming changes

  • Deliver services in a manner that values the child/client’s self-esteem and dignity

  • Work collaboratively and communicate with parents and families in a manner that emphasizes family-centered services

  • Occasionally attend case review meetings with program supervisors at MARC, Inc as directed

  • Represent MARC, Inc positively by demonstrating courtesy and professionalism



  • Associate’s degree in an SLPA program or a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders. 

  • Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience

  • Demonstrate competency in skills required of an SLPA

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude towards all people; solid team player and open to new ideas

  • Ability to multi-task, independently plan and organize own activities

  • Successfully pass a fingerprint clearance check and other related hiring requirements

  • Proficient with computers and email


Critical Functions may include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs

  • Be able to run short distances, sit on the floor, bend down, squat & kneel

  • Must be able to drive own vehicle to homes and other locations (mileage reimbursed)

  • Administer physical and verbal prompting techniques to increase child’s overall skills &

  • Respond positively and appropriately to child’s behaviors and verbalizations to improve behavior and maximize independent functioning, consistent with the personal values and direction expressed by the child’s family and/or MARC, Inc supervisors



  • Hourly wage based on qualifications, experience, and/or length of employment with MARC, Inc
